| Nurse Case Managers |
| Our nurse case managers partner with our claims examiners to lend their clinical expertise regarding medical care and utilization review. They actively participate in treatment and coordinate care for injured workers in the following ways: |  |
- Providing the needed medical referrals for the injured worker once a claim is established.
- Involvement in 100% of all claims involving requests for surgery, multiple-injury claims, hospitalization and extended lost-time.
- Consulting with treating physicians, as needed.
